eBay Partner Network – Must Use 301 Redirects

If you are using Build a Niche Store or PHPBay you will want to make sure you patch it with the latest version or workaround from the forums. EPN just announced that if you are caught redirecting with anything other than a 301 redirect you will get banned.
This is a huge pain if you have many sites, but it’s better than losing your income completely. At least they are giving affiliates notice before a mass ban.
If you have any questions about the difference between a 301 and other redirects, feel free to ask below.

Definitely a very interesting observation that I completely just missed. I recently signed up with the ebay partner network, but didn’t notice this. Brian, as usual, you have provided me with some valuable insight! Thanks!

How do I fix this? How do you change links? I tried downloading a fix, but I’m still lost? Does anyone know how to do this?

The fix is different for each product. Which one are you referring to? BANS or PHPBay?

Just an update on this, I now have gone to regular rover links, no cloak. Don’t have the time to jack with it anymore.

Just looked into this, and the WP plugin I use for redirects seems to be 301 – http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/ilwp-simple-link-cloaker/
